Cupping Therapy

Cupping TherapyWhat is Cupping?

Cupping, like massage, is an ancient form of therapy where different types of cups are applied to the body creating a negative pressure (suction). The negative pressure creates a lift and separation in the tissue that complements the compression of most manual therapies. Cupping affects several areas of the body including circulation, fascia, joints, lymph, skin and muscle tissue. Cupping can easily be incorporated with your regular massage treatments or done as a separate treatment altogether. After a cupping treatment you will find stretching, foam rolling, strengthening and other manual treatments more effective.

Cupping therapy is an effective treatment for the following conditions:

  • Asthma/Bronchitis/Cough
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • Fascial Restrictions
  • Frozen Shoulder

  • Muscle Tension
  • Plantar Fasciitis
  • Postural Imbalances
  • Reduced joint range of motion
